OVERVIEW

Learn to brew the popular inverted AeroPress method with this recipe. It yields one serving of coffee using a 1:14 brew ratio, for a rich and flavourful cup.

WHAT YOU NEED

14g coffee
200g hot water (90°C)
AeroPress & paper filters
Gram scale
Grinder
Kettle 

RECIPE

1. Grind Your Coffee
Grind 14g of coffee to a medium-coarse consistency.

2. Heat Water and Rinse Filter
Heat your water to 90°C. Wet the paper filter in the filter cap, then discard the rinse water.

3. Setup the Brewer
Insert the plunger into the Aeropress until the number 4 mark.

4. Add Coffee and Water
Add the ground coffee to the inverted Aeropress. Start the timer and pour in 200g of hot water. Stir to ensure even soaking of the grounds.

5. Steep
Let the coffee steep for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Meanwhile, carefully attach the filter cap.

6. Press and Extract
Once the brew time is reached, carefully invert the Aeropress onto your serving vessel. Gently press down the plunger over 30 seconds.

7. Enjoy
Remove the Aeropress, give your vessel a swirl, and savour your freshly brewed coffee!
