OVERVIEW
Found in cafés, coffee shops, and competitions around the world, the Hario V60 has firmly cemented itself as the go-to tool for pourover brewing. Celebrated for its clean, expressive cups and iconic spiral design, this is one filter brewer you’ll definitely want to get to know. This recipe create one serving of coffee.
WHAT YOU NEED
15g coffee (medium-coarse grind)
250g water (90-93°C)
V60 & Paper filter
Gooseneck kettle
Digital scale with timer
Grinder
Carafe
Teaspoon

RECIPE
1. Grind Your Coffee
Grind 15g of coffee to a medium-coarse consistency.
2. Heat Water and Rinse Filter
Heat water to 91°C. Place a paper filter in the dripper, set it over your carafe, and pre-rinse with hot water. Discard the rinse water from the carafe before brewing.
3. Add Coffee
Transfer the ground coffee to the pre-wetted filter and gently shake to level out the grounds.
4. The Brew
• At 0:00 add 50g, then stir 3 times with teaspoon.
• At 0:40 add 70g (120g total)
• At 1:10 add 65g (185g total)
• At 1:40 add 65g pour (250g total)
*Perform all pours using a slow circular motion.
5. Drain
Allow the coffee to fully drain, which should take between 2:30 to 2:45 minutes.
6. Enjoy
Remove the dripper, give your vessel a swirl, and savour your expertly brewed coffee!
