LALESA G1
In the Gedeo Zone of southern Ethiopia, coffee isn’t just something people grow — it’s woven into daily life. In the town of Gedeb, many smallholder farmers cultivate coffee in their own backyards, right alongside fruit trees, maize, and other crops their families depend on. It’s a beautiful mix of farming and family life that reflects how deeply coffee is rooted in the community here.
Gedeb has earned a name for producing some of Ethiopia’s most vibrant and expressive coffees, and this lot is no exception. Grown between 1,800 and 2,200 meters above sea level, the high elevation, rich soil, and surrounding biodiversity help bring out a beautifully complex cup.
This particular lot comes from Lalesa, a well-regarded producer in the area known for especially sweet and floral profiles. It features a mix of Kurume and Dega varietals, harvested between October and February, and processed using the Natural method — which enhances fruity notes and depth.
If you're into bright, character-filled Ethiopian coffees, this one's a standout.
