SIDAMO GUJI HARSU
Sidamo Guji Harsu is more than just a coffee—it’s part of a bigger story. After finishing school, Bisrat Melaku moved to the village of Harsu in Ethiopia’s Guji Zone, where he saw firsthand the challenges faced by smallholder farmers—especially when it came to pricing and long-term sustainability.
That experience led him to start Harsu Coffee Export, with a mission to support local farmers, ensure fair pay, and help preserve the deep-rooted coffee traditions of the region. In Guji, coffee isn’t just cultivated—it’s an essential part of culture, community, and daily life.
This lot is made up of local heirloom varietals grown between 1,900 and 2,200 meters above sea level by farmers in and around Harsu. Harvested from October to February, the cherries are naturally processed to highlight juicy fruit character and a full, rounded body.
It’s a coffee that reflects both place and purpose—rooted in heritage, elevated by community, and crafted with care from seed to cup.
